A long disagreement over construction of the Shawnee North Aquatic Center could soon dry up.
Shawnee County Commissioners will consider a settlement agreement in the case at their meeting Thursday morning.
The pool opened two years ago, but it's main contractor, Champion Builders, sued the county for costs due to building delays and flood problems.
The settlement calls for the county to pay Champion $83,567.24 and Champion's insurance company, Employers Mutual Casualty, $75,757.70. In addition, Champion will accept a confidential settlement from two companies that did engineering work - Water's Edge Aquatic Design and Hoss and Brown Engineers - and a third that provided plumbing and mechanical materials - Lockard, Inc.
