Starbucks spokeswoman Julianna Bowman Tuesday told WIBW the employee was pouring hot water containing sanitizing cleaners onto the floor, when it splashed up into his face.
A Starbucks customer called 9-1-1 and the employee was taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Health Center.
Bowman said, “While we are sorry that one of our partners was involved in an accident at the store, we are glad that his injuries were immediately treated and that he’s now recovering at home.”
No one else was injured.
