NEOSHO RAPIDS, Kan. (AP) _ Officials say there is no major health risk from a train derailment in eastern Kansas.
Lyon County Undersheriff Richard Old told The Emporia Gazette for a story on the newspaper's Web site that the derailment near Neosho Rapids on Tuesday involved more than a dozen cars, including some tankers. One of the train's cars apparently contained corn syrup.
Sheriff's officers are working to detach parts of the train to open blocked roads.
