The American Legion escorted the Chapman Legion team to the Rossville field. Hundreds of people were waiting with open arms to welcome the players and their families to the town. Puffy's Steak and Ice House donated more than 500 meals for the fund-raiser, which was put together in less than four days.

Several other local businesses pitched in and the town donated bottled water, canned food, and gatorade for the team to take home with them. More than $13,000 was raised. The money will be taken to the Chapman Legion by the Rossville Legion and used to help buy the meals that the Legion has been giving out to tornado victims since the storm wiped out so much of the town.
