(Andover, KS) – The pilot that survived a plane crash Saturday is listed in fair condition at Wesley Medical Center this Sunday evening.
Butler County Sheriff’s say it’s believed that engine failure caused the plane to crah, seriously injuring 45-year-old John Elmet from Butler Co.
Elmet was commended by Sheriffs for the way he brought the plane down in the filed near Andover after his engine stalled.
The plane’s landing gear and underside is reported to have sustained significant damage to its landing gear and underside.
The Federal Aviation Administration continues to investigate the crash.
