The news keeps getting better for Helping Hands Humane Society.
Wednesday, June 11, WIBW-TV aired a telethon taking donations to build a new animal shelter. The telethon raised $58,000 toward the $5.5 million goal when it went off the air. In the week since, $22,000 more has come in. Plus, most of the animals featured on the telethon found homes the very next day!
The new shelter will triple the space of the current shelter. It will be built on the same location at the current facility.
