The 10 apartments that were burned after a three alarm fire at The Pines apartment complex last night was not the first incident at The Pines.
The blaze damaged 10 units -- causing $1.6 million in damage. Compare that to a fire that hit the pines in 1979 -- just more than $1.5 million...for 90 units.
In 2004, the Kansas Highway Patrol communications tower was knocked over by high wind...landing right on, you guessed it, The Pines.
No one was injured in any of the incidents. For a look back, click the video -- we have included the original, uncut news stories on both incidents.
