A Topeka man will spend 14 years in federal prison for selling drugs.
20-year old Oscar D. Rangel learned his sentence Wednesday. Rangel's attorney described him in court documents as a “street corner drug dealer.” He pleaded guilty to one count of distribution of crack cocaine.
Rangel admitted that on Aug. 30, 2006, he sold 49.61 grams of crack cocaine to undercover agents of the Kansas Bureau of Investigation. Prosecutors say the transaction took place at 502 S.E. 25th Street in Topeka.
