STRONG CITY, Kan. (WIBW) -- Two people were life-flighted to hospitals Tuesday after a head-on collision near Strong City.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol crash log, James Gaeddert, 74, of Leawood, was driving a Ford pickup east on U50 highway Tuesday when the crash occurred.
KHP reports that at about 2:35 p.m., eight miles east of Strong City, Gaeddert's pickup went left of center for an unknown reason and hit a car driven by Brenda Coursen, 52, of Halsted, head on.
Gaeddert was taken by life flight to Stormont Vail in Topeka.
Coursen was taken by ambulance to Emporia Hospital then by life flight to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
