Man Injured at Heartland Park Dies

The man injured in an accident at Heartland Park during NHRA race weekend, has died.

Topeka Police today say 52-year-old James Jenkins of Oklahoma passed away over the weekend.

He and 55-year-old Judy Brewster were walking when they were hit by a truck Sunday, June 1st.

Brewster was pronounced dead on the scene, Jenkins was life-flighted to Kansas City.

The accident is still under investigation and police continue to ask anyone who may have information to call 368-9227.
