Two Women Killed When Cars Collide

CHANUTE, Kan. (AP) _ Two women are dead and a pair of teenagers are injured after a weekend crash in southeast Kansas.

The Highway Patrol says a car driven by Amber Spencer of Gas City crossed the center line of K-39 east of Chanute early Sunday and crashed head-on into a vehicle driven by Laurie Ann Williams of Erie.

Both women were killed, and two teenage girls in Williams' car were injured. The girls' conditions were not made known.
