Alvin Bonjour says he already misses Station 23. He even drives by it two to three times per day to keep an eye on things. He officially retired in January but a celebration was held for him Sunday.

Station 23 was converted into a party room with tables, food, and cake. Friends and family came to wish him well. Bonjour comes from a family of Firefighters. His father and his brother served the department as well. His mother even served on the board!

Bonjour says he continues to hang out with the men he calls his "brothers" in the department and he hopes retirement won't make him a stranger!
