Juneteenth: Celebration of Freedom

Juneteenth commemorates the date in 1865 when 250,000 Texas slaves were freed. Three years after the Emancipation Proclamation was put into effect.

The Juneteenth Celebration runs June 13th - 15th.

Friday, June 13:

11 a.m. - Noon - Juneteenth Parade, Downtown Topeka
Beginning at 12:30 p.m. - Entertainment & Music, Gage Park

1 p.m. - Car & Motorcycle Show
4:30 p.m. - 7 p.m. - Talent Show
4:30 p.m. - 7 p.m. - Live Entertainment Show
