Two Overnight Robberies Leads to Two Arrests

Topeka Police made arrests on two separate burglaries overnight.

The first incident was about 10:20 p.m.

Officers responded to the 300 block of Southwest Fillmore for a possible burglary in process.

The officers found 45-year-old Steven Fike of Topeka in a garage and arrested him.

Later, at about 2 a.m., an police officer stopped a car driving with no lights on in the 2600 block of north Kansas.

The officer noticed suspicious items in the car that were later determined to have been taken from a business at 2138 north Kansas.

Sam Moore and James Dean, both of Topeka, were arrested on charges of burglary, theft, criminal trespass and damage.
