Topeka Police are investigating an incident that occurred this morning in the 5th and Davies area.
Officers were responding to the area of 5th and Davies at about 11:45 a.m. Thursday to a report of a fight with shots fired. Shortly after, there was also a report of a vehicle striking a subject in the area of 5th and Burr. The vehicle then left the area.
Police believe the incidents are connected. The person struck by the vehicle, a 22-year-old male, was taken by AMR to a local hospital with injuries initially considered to be life-threatening, but has since changed to non life-threatening.
Police are looking for a red Ford Ranger pick-up with temporary tags that was last seen leaving the area. The driver is described as a Hispanic male and the passenger is described as a female passenger.
Police are continuing to investigate and ask that anyone with information call detectives at 368-9400 or Crime Stoppers at 234-0007.
