Berryton resident Mary Anne McIntire was watching 13 News when she saw the storm coming toward her area. She looked outside and noticed it was upon her, so she took cover in the basement.
She waited out the storm while watching 13...until her power went out. Then she switched to listening to WIBW-TV -- on her MP3 player.
It didn't last long -- only about two minutes, but the storm did a tremendous amount of damage to her home. Her barn was destroyed. Her home was damaged. The tree around her house knocked over.
She says she will now take it one task at a time, and rebuild the best she can. She is hoping her insurance helps a great deal.
