Topeka Police are continuing to investigate a one-motorcycle accident that sent its two occupants to an area hospital, both with life threatening injuries.
At about 2:20 a.m. Monday, officers were called to the 1200 block of Washburn reference a one-motorcycle accident.
The motorcycle was traveling southbound on Washburn, when it lost control, struck a light pole and went through several bushes.
Brandon L. Moore, 23, Berryton, and his passenger, Kathryn E. Guffy, 23, Topeka, were ejected from the bike and transported by AMR with life-threatening injuries.
The Topeka Police Department’s Accident Reconstruction Unit is continuing to investigate and is looking at whether speed and alcohol were factors. Washburn Ave. was closed during the investigation and opened at 6:50 a.m.
