DODGE CITY, Kan. (AP) _ A former Dodge City teacher has been sentenced to a ``hard 25'' life sentence for taking indecent liberties with an 8-year-old girl.
A judge Thursday sentenced Tabatha Adams to life in prison without possibility of parole for 25 years.
The 36-year-old pleaded guilty in March to one count of aggravated indecent liberties with a child. She was arrested in December after someone found explicit digital pictures of Adams and her boyfriend, 28-year-old Zachary Noble of Falls City, Nebraska, and turned them over to police.
Adams was a second-grade teacher at Sacred Heart Catholic School at the time. The victim was a student at the school, but not one of Adams' students. Adams later resigned.
She also faces charges in Nebraska, where the crimes are alleged to have occurred.
