A safer Topeka was the main topic discussed at the NAACP meeting Saturday afternoon.
Life-long Topekan Barry Feaker was welcomed to the meeting to discuss his thoughts on how to make Topeka safer.
Feaker has been involved in various local and state initiatives to help the homeless and to better the community.
The Topeka NAACP meets monthly usually on the fourth Saturday. Its mission is to ensure equality of rights for everyone.
