A big road closure announced earlier this week is now delayed.
Shawnee Heights Road was set to close from 37th to 43rd Streets on Tuesday. The closure was due to last four to six weeks.
But Friday, Shawnee County Public Works Engineer Tom Vlach said they decided to put it off so as not to interfere with the annual Tinman Triathlon.
The project is tentatively rescheduled to start June 16th.
