TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) _ The Kansas Lottery Commission is having its second day of hearings on casino proposals from prospective developers.
The commission is hearing from developers who hope to obtain contracts to build and operate resort casinos for the state in Ford and Wyandotte counties.
There are a total of seven applicants.
On Monday, the commission heard from four applicants wanting to operate a casino in Sumner County.
The commission can sign contracts with all 11 and forward them to a review board that will pick one applicant in each county.
Earlier this month, the commission endorsed a contract with Penn National Gaming Inc., the sole bidder for the fourth casino site, in Cherokee County.
