A semi-truck driver is dead after his rig drove off a Kansas City interstate and burst into flames.
Witnesses say the 40-year-old driver, Charles Smith, was cut off by another car on I-435 early Monday morning.
They say the hiland dairy milk truck driver swerved to avoid hitting the car and ended up off the interstate.
From there, authorities say the driver hit a pillar on the overpass bridge before crashing on the road below.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
