A tribute to fallen troops got a big boost Monday.
The Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation presented a $15,000 check to organizers of "The Reading" Monday.
"The Reading" is an event that will include the reading aloud of the names of every soldier killed in the Iraq-Afghanistan war. It is expected to take eight to 10 hours to complete the reading of all 4500 names.
"The Reading" will be held Saturday, June 14th at the Expocentre in Topeka. Volunteers are needed to help during the event and to help read the names. Those interested in helping should contact Reuben Sullivan at (785) 608-6676.
