Lance Wishkeno says his 15-year-old daughter Felicity Wishkeno was showering in their home at 1536 NW Valencia road when lightning hit the side of their home.
"The lightening blew our cell phones out and the light in the bathroom. She came out of the bathroom and just collapsed." Wishkeno told 13 News.
It happened just after 5PM Saturday as a strong line of thunderstorms pushed across Shawnee County. The storm had with it pea size hail and lightning but the classification of the storm was not strong enough to be classified as severe.
Felicity was transported to St. Francis hospital on the highest ambulance code.
Lance a firefighter for Mayetta says he was working at the time that he heard of his daughter's accident. He says she is speaking and responding well tonight at the hospital.
13 News will continue to follow this developing story.
