Attempted Murder in Riley Co. Leaves One Behind Bars

A man remains behind bars for attempted murder in Riley County.

It happened after 8:30 Monday night when Riley County Police say they received a 9-1-1 call from 930 Kearney that someone had been cut and was bleeding.

Authorities say when officers arrived, they found two victims, 24-year old Robert Gantt and 40 year old Patrick Wentz.

Both lived at the residence.

Gantt had a substantial cut to his neck and Wentz had a cut to his hand.

Officers arrested 53 year old Patrick McGraw, a co-worker of the victims, for attempted second degree murder and aggravated battery.

His bond is set at $100,000.

Gantt was taken to a local hospital, no word on his condition.
