Two members of the Westboro Baptist Church have failed to post bonds needed to delay collection of a $5 million jury award.
Shirley Phelps Roper and Rebekah Phelps Davis are appealing the award.
It stemmed from a November ruling that the church intentionally inflected emotional distress in protesting the Maryland funeral of a fallen marine.
The women had until 5 p.m. Monday to put up $125,000 and $100,000 respectively.
They argued the amounts were excessive.
