RoadRunners Drop Friday Game, Play Today

The Topeka RoadRunners, unbeaten in their first two playoff matches in St. Louis, could not withstand an offensive onslaught from the hometown St. Louis Bandits Friday night. Down 4-0 in the 3rd period, the Runners scored their only goals starting at the 4:00 minute mark of the final frame. The Bandits tacked on an insurance goal to win the Friday night clash, 5-2. St. Louis gets a bye today, and carries an unbeaten record into the championship game Sunday afternoon.

Topeka (2-1) is pushed back onto the ice for another matchup against their opening round opponent, Mahoning Valley of Ohio. Gametime is 3:00 Saturday. The game will be carried locally on our sister station, My Network TV, digital 676.. which will also bring you streaming coverage of the championship game, providing the Runners win today.
