Nemaha Valley Groundbreaking

A bright future awaits the community of Seneca.

Nemaha Valley elementary and middle school students are digging in on the efforts for the first phases of construction. Much of their schools were destroyed in the March '07 fire.

Staff, students, and school board members attended a ground breaking ceremony for the new school Wednesday.

Kansas Department of Transportation is administering a federally funded grant in support for safe routes to school while construction is in place.

The board also plans to repair the high school track which will begin early summer.
