Sebelius, Governors to Talk Energy

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (AP) _ In the midst of a hot debate over coal-fired plants in Kansas, Governor Sebelius hosts some of her counterparts at a summit next week to discuss clean power and
efficiency.

The May 6th gathering in the Kansas City suburb of Overland Park
is part of the National Governors Association Securing a Clean
Energy Future Initiative. Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty and North
Dakota's John Hoeven are expected to attend and several other
governors are invited.

Governors will discuss the progress and challenges facing states in clean power generation, transmission, energy efficiency and conservation.

A top executive of the Wal-Mart retail giant will unveil the states selected to take part in the NGA/Wal-Mart Greening State Capitols Initiative.
