It's been about a week and a half since more than 130 Silver Lake Elementary students and staff were sick from an illness.
They finally got those answers today when a note was sent home with students saying norovirus is to blame for the stomach flu like symptoms so many suffered from.
KDHE along with the Shawnee County Health Agency completed the investigation.
Norovirus can be spread easily from person to person as both stool and vomit are infectious.
Students and parents are being encouraged to wash their hands frequently and sanitize any contaminated surfaces immediately after and episode of illness.
KDHE says they don't know if they will ever be able to pinpoint exactly where the virus began.
