Volunteers Accomplish Much at Beach Party

Midland Care hosted a beach party to get work done for the "Celebration Walk."

Volunteers prepared 2,000 luminaries, folded 800 t-shirts, tied 200 balloon weights, and folded and mailed 400 letters. All that work was in preparation for the 12th Annual "Celebration Walk."

The Walk is a fundraiser to help financially support Midland Care Hospice in Topeka.

"Celebration Walk" is Friday, May 9 starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Midland Care Hospice grounds, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka. It ends with a ceremony at dusk.

On Wednesday, May 7, Capitol Federal will host their fundraising Olympics on the Midland Care campus. The opening ceremony will be at 6 p.m. and all money raised will go toward the "Celebration Walk."

Midland Care serves 20 Kansas counties with offices in Topeka, Lawrence, Ottawa and Seneca.
