Topeka Area Students Receive Scholarships

More than 50 Topeka area students now have more money to put toward their college educations.

The Topeka community foundation awarded more than 100,000 thousand dollars in scholarships Wednesday night.

The foundation uses a reception to connect the students to the scholarship donors.

Topeka high senior Bobby Ross is just one of the 50 recipients.

He was awarded a $1,000 dollar Jim Grimes scholarship to further his study at the University of Colorado.

Topeka community foundation manages more than 90 scholarship funds for individuals, businesses and civic organizations.
