A jury is seated in the trial of a woman accused of fleeing from officers after a hit and run accident left two highway workers dead.
Osage County Attorney Brandon Jones started the prosecution's case against Ramona Morgan Monday. Morgan was arraigned in February on charges of felony fleeing and attempting to elude officers. The chase followed a hit and run accident Sept. 11 on Highway 59 in Douglas County that killed 30-year old Tyrone Korte of Seneca and 24-year old Rolland Griffith of El Dorado. Osage County court entered a not guilty plea on Morgan's behalf at that time.
After her trial in Osage County, Morgan's expected to face charges in Douglas County for the deaths of the workers, since that is where the incident happened.
