On the heels of the largest campaign achievement ever, the United Way of Greater Topeka is giving back to the Topeka community.
The agency is re-investing more than $4 million in community-wide programs.
Thursday board president Joe Aleshire and CEO Nancy Perry presented a symbolic check to Debbie Guibault, chairman of the agency director's group.
Checks were handed to representatives from the 32 United Way agencies serving the community, and the 80-some programs they run.
Nancy Perry also took a moment to comment on Thursday being her last president's board meeting.
Nancy is retiring after more than 24 years with the United Way.
The 2007 fundraising campaign raised a record $5.9 million.
