The future growth of Kansas business is the vision for a new state committee called the Kansas Innovation Consortium. It had its first meeting Tuesday.
Gov. Kathleen Sebelius heads the group. It's made up of business leaders, including Secretary of Commerce David Kerr and Secretary of Revenue Joan Wagnon.
Their goal is to find ways for Kansas to best use the state's resources to continue growth and prosperity. The Governor challenged the group to develop ideas for improving the business climate in Kansas and also identify any barriers to growth.
