About one out of every three Shawnee County youth reported drinking alcohol in the past 30 days.
It's a problem the community is ready to raise awareness about.
Safe Streets Coalition of Topeka-Shawnee County is sponsoring a town hall meeting on underage drinking Thursday, April 3.
Community members are invited to the meeting, where they will receive education about the impact underage drinking has on the community and develop possible ways to address the issue.
The meeting is from 7- 8:30 p.m. at the Pozez Education Center, Stormont-Vail Health Care, 1505 SW 8th St., Topeka.
