Topeka Budget

Amid concern over police, fire, public works and other cuts for the current budget year, the Topeka city council is getting ready to look ahead to next year.

City manager Norton Bonaparte has requested a work session for 5:30 p.m. Monday to begin discussions on the 2009 budget.

The meeting at the law enforcement center is meant to gauge expectations for the new spending plan.
