SALINA, Kan. (AP) _ The Kansas National Guard is unveiling Crisis City.

While not officially a town, the mock city is the latest addition to the National Guard and state emergency management's training complex at the Great Plains Regional Training Center at Salina.

The first piece of the city is a hazardous material training site, complete with railroad locomotive and boxcars. Future additions will include a replica grain elevator, concrete rubble and buildings and homes.

The city is designed to provide training for the National Guard, emergency management and first responders from across the state and
region. Plans also call for facilities for unmanned aerial vehicles,
which could be flown at the Smoky Hill Air National Guard Range,
southeast of Salina.
