A Good Kid, A Good Deed

15 year old Skylar Bond was stunned when he heard the news about 18 year old Beau Arndt.. killed by a rifle shot from a pickup truck passenger. Beau and his teenaged hunting buddies were laying out decoys while bird hunting last December 15th in Lyon County.

The incident spurred Skylar to set up his own hunting memorial to Beau. He and his father decided on the Beau Arndt Memorial Sporting Clay Shoot.. to be held at Lyndon's Locust Point Gun Club on Sunday, April 27th. Their story is included here from our "Good Kids" segment on 13 News at 10 Tuesday night. (The shoot is $30, with another $10 donation requested for the big hog roast that day.)

You can call Skylar at (785) 364-5367 for more information, or even to donate items for the fundraising auction. All proceeds benefit Hunter Safety Education programs.
