Questions are being raised Thursday night regarding the Topeka Police Department's policy on not releasing the names of the off duty officers involved in Tuesday's shooting.
Details surrounding the off-duty officer shooting early Tuesday morning are still very vague.
Police Chief Ron Miller says that they are protecting the constitutional rights of the officers by not releasing their names. Others say the public has the right to know.
It's a policy initiated by Chief Miller back in 2006.
Witnesses say the shooting victims are Daniel and Devin Llamas.
The sheriff's office is conducting the criminal investigation and not releasing names of those involved.
