Wolf Creek Shuts Down

Wolf Creek Nuclear Power Plant shut down Monday.

The manual shutdown started around 1 pm Monday so employees could fix an electrical transformer that stopped providing power to non-safety related equipment.

Vice President of Operations and Plant Manager Matt Sunseri says the plant is in a safe condition. He says since they were just days away from their scheduled refueling outage they have decided to refuel as well.
