Ft. Riley Soldier Killed in Iraq

The Department of Defense has announced the death of another Fort Riley soldier.

The DOD says 19-year-old specialist William O'Brien of Rice, Texas died Saturday. O'Brien died of wounds he suffered when he was attacked by small arms fire during combat operations.

O'Brien was assigned to the 1st Infantry Division at Fort Riley.

He is the 144th Fort Riley soldier to be killed supporting the war in Iraq.
