TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A soldier from Topeka continues treatment for injuries received while serving in Afghanistan.Sergeant Jamie Jarboe has been fighting through a series of procedures after being shot in the neck while on patrol.
His wife says spinal fusion surgery was successful, but infection is causing some complications. Doctors have also installed a filter to keep blood clots from reaching Jarboe's heart.
He'll be back in surgery sometime this week so doctors can clean the infection in his back.
