113 Child Pornography Charges Filed Against Murder Suspect
TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- A Topeka man charged with murdering his mother, now also faces charges of sexual exploitation of a child.
Shawnee County Court records show Jason Hachmeister was charged Monday with 113 counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Child, Possession of Visual Medium of a Child.
Hachmeister is already jailed on First Degree Murder in connection with the death of his mother, Sheila. She was found dead in September 2011 in the home they shared at 3520 SW Belle. Police say it was Jason who made the 911 call.
Hachmeister was arrested in December, three months after his mother's death. Police at the time said they were "able to find evidence that the suspect never thought" they'd find.
Hachmeister has a preliminary hearing in the murder case on March 30.
