Young Professionals Hear Inspiration, Motivation

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Young professionals were urged to live their lives for a bigger purpose.

The fourth annual YP Kansas summit brought hundreds of young workers from around the state to the downtown Ramada Hotel and Convention Center for a day of learning Thursday.

Voice of the Kansas City Chiefs, Mitch Holthus, provided the keynote speech. He talked about life behind the mic, including dealing with the adversity of losing seasons and changes of new management. He also addressed making the most of opportunities and getting involved in the community.

The summit also included breakout sessions on topics like leadership, entrepreneurship, volunteering and running effective meetings.

The YP Summit was hosted by the Fast Forward program of the Greater Topeka Chamber of Commerce.
