OTTOWA, Kan (WIBW)-- A road worker was hit by a passing vehicle while on the job Thursday morning near Ottawa.
The Franklin County Sheriff's Office says that deputies were called to a non-injury rollover accident involving a semi in the 3100 block of K-68 Highway around 8:45 a.m.
Franklin County authorities were still on the scene around half-hour later when a contract worker with KDOT was struck by a westbound pickup while trying to cross the highway on foot.
The man was flown to a nearby hospital by Lifestar, his condition is unknown.
K-68 is currently shut down in both directions at the accident location while officials investigate the incident.
