TOPEKA, Kan Women of all ages enjoyed a day of fun, food and shopping all to help improve one man's health.
Numerous vendors gathered at the Auburn Civic Center to display merchandise for Saturday's women's day out event.
The event was designed to help Gary Adkins who's health is deteriorating.
Adkins has pulmonary fibrosis and is in need of a lung transplant.
A portion of the money raised will go towards medical costs. Adkins wife says the support from the community has been wonderful.
Adkins is a candidate for a lung transplant at Baptist Integris hospital in Oklahoma City.
The Adkins family is still awaiting a date to be set for the operation to take place.
