Women Honored For Work In Communications

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Outstanding female communicators in the Topeka community earned honors Thursday.

Topeka's Association of Women in Communications hosted its fourth annual Headliner Awards luncheon.

Earning top honors year were Dana Weaver of Leading Age Kansas; Lauren Tice for Jayhawk Pharmacy's Get Fit campaign; and Carolyn Lang of Ogden Publications.

WIBW-TV's Amanda Lanum among the eight finalists. Others were Stefanie Henderson, Aaron Douglas Art Fair; Briana Holmes, Heartland Visioning; Megan James Rogers, XYZ Magazine; and Melissa Wangemann, Kansas Association of Counties.

Part of the proceeds from the luncheon go toward a scholarship for a Washburn University student. This year, it was awarded to Daniele Osterhaus.
