Woman Beaten At Sleep Inn & Suites

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-On Sunday December 30, 2012 at about 7 a.m., officers responded to 1024 SW Wanamaker Road (Sleep Inn & Suites) regarding a female who had been severely beaten by a known acquaintance.

Kimberly Rangle, 35, Topeka told police she was in the hotel room with the individual and she did not know why the individual beat her.

She knew the male as having a street name of “Monster’ or “Moody”. Kimberly Rangle was transported to a local hospital by AMR with non-life threatening injuries.

A witness saw a black male, 5’10”, slim/muscular build, wearing black clothing leave the hotel in a gray 4 door Mercedes. The suspect backed from the lot almost striking other cars to prevent his license plate from being seen.

Investigation continues, police ask anyone with information to call Detective Brian Hill at 368-9024 or remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 234-0007.
