TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Bond is set at a half-million dollars for a woman accused in a Topeka murder.

Jamie Engstrom was booked into the Shawnee County Jail this week. She was recently sentenced to five years for charges in Nebraska, where she and her husband, Michael, were arrested following a shootout with police.

Authorities say the couple fled the state following the February 13th shooting death of Ricky Mitchell at an apartment near SW 12th and Topeka Boulevard.

Jamie Engstrom has a docket hearing on Shawnee County charges of murder and aggravated robbery. Michael Engstrom's court proceedings in Nebraska continue.
